WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOUR CHILD GOES MISSING?

Children run away for a number of reasons and, on most occasions, they return home safely. However, if your child is missing or has run away from home, you must IMMEDIATELY contact the LAW ENFORCEMENT.

REMEMBER: You don’t have to wait 24 hours before contacting the police.

What information will police need from you?

  • Your child’s name, date of birth, height, and weight

  • A detailed description of the clothing worn by your child and the personal items he or she had at the time of the disappearance.

  • A detailed description of any personal identification marks, such as birthmarks, scars, tattoos, or mannerisms, that may help in finding your child. If possible, find a picture of your child that shows these identification marks and give it to law enforcement.

  • All the facts and circumstances related to the disappearance of your child, including what efforts have already been made to search for your child.

  • A list of friends, relatives, acquaintances, and anyone else who might have information or clues about your child's whereabouts. Include telephone numbers and addresses, if possible.

  • Any medical conditions your child may suffer from.

  • Any details of places that your child often visits.

  • Telephone numbers and social media account names

  • Any new relationship / social groups / networks that your child may have become involved in.

  • IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO HIRE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR DO IT!   BECAUSE THEY WILL WORK ON YOUR CHILD'S CASE ONLY!!!
